PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The DRILLING HSE ADVISOR provides field HSE support & guidance to all drilling activities and drilling assets.
The DRILLING HSE ADVISOR will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of DRILLING HSE activities in accordance with assigned responsibilities & established performance targets.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
OFFSHORE BASED
Assisting the DRILLING MANAGEMENT in the development & delivery of best in class DRILLING SAFETY MANAGEMENT PROCESS.
Ensure the timely identification of HSE Hazards, evaluation of risks for all activities & development of effective tools to manage & reduce the risks to ALARP.
Lead the company & contractors team to deliver an exemplary safety performance.
Demonstrate excellent safety leadership & behavior’s, ensuring that the company safety expectations are communicated & maintained.
Foster a safe culture by being informed, mindful, learning, fair & respectful.
Align personal objectives for all direct reports with business unit objectives & HSE Plan.
Be aware of all platform major Safety risks (SCRA’s) & ongoing operational risks (ORA’s) & countersign any associated with safety impact.
Investigate incidents & implement learnings throughout the operations team.
Carry-out Safety Auditing as per audit matrix & coach team.
Engage team in meetings & follow-up outstanding actions in a timely manner.
Report all accidents / near misses & investigate incidents & implement learnings effectively.
Participate in accident / incident investigations as requested.
Attend HSE & technical training as deemed necessary by the company.
Providing input to leading & lagging drilling safety performance measures.
Providing input to the collection of Lessons Learned for the drilling activities.
Leading & participating in Drilling Safety Audits & Reviews.
Providing Drilling Safety input to HSE Management reviews.



JOB DESCRIPTION:
Liaising with Contractors Safety Advisor, OIM, Drilling Supervisor to increase HSE standards, procedures & awareness.
Conduct training sessions & drills to maintain & increase staff competency.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Health & Safety or demonstrated industry relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience in HSE for Drilling/ Workover within Oil & Gas



REQUIRED TO HAVE:
ATTESTED EDUCATIONAL OFFSHORE MEDICAL
SAFETY TRAININGS / OPITO APPROVED T-BOSIET / T-HUET / H2S
