Job Description
  • Reports to the skipper
  • Takes part in all activities delegated by the skipper
  • Stands with the skipper in the wheel house at every trip to maintain a good lookout as per collision regulations
  • Participates in all emergencies and drills
  • Responds to all emergencies and act as per given duties
  • Reports any unsafe activities to skipper
  • Participate in all cleaning duties. Ensures that vessel is ready for receiving passengers at all times
  • Ensures that there are enough cleaning materials on board
  • Washes the boat externally after each trip and thoroughly at the end of each shift
  • Ensures that all luggage compartments are clean and tidy at all times
  • Completes the passenger manifest prior to departure and ensures the skipper is informed
  • Ensures all lost and found items to be safely handed over to the skipper
  • Does proper handing over to the next shift indicating all the issues encountered
  • Responsible for own personal hygiene
  • Ensures to maintain uniform and keep it in perfect condition
  • Responsible for proper and safe berthing and un-berthing procedures and during line handling

Qualifications
  • Valid AB Seaman Certification. (Valid CDC with AB (II/4) qualification /Valid STCW/Valid Medical (fit to work at sea) report)
  • Proven experience as an AB Seaman, preferably in a hospitality or marine tourism setting.
  • Basic understanding of vessel navigation and seamanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
