Job Description

As a Boat Skipper at Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island, part of the esteemed Minor Hotels portfolio, you will take charge of marine operations, ensuring the safe and enjoyable transportation of guests while upholding the high service standards synonymous with Minor Hotels. Your role will involve navigating various boats, conducting guided tours, and fostering a memorable experience for our guests.


  • Safely operate and navigate different types of boats, adhering to Minor Hotels and maritime safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on boats to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during marine activities, including guided tours, fishing expeditions, and water sports.
  • Prioritize the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests throughout their marine experiences.
  • Strictly adhere to Minor Hotels' safety protocols, conduct regular safety briefings, and maintain a secure environment for guests and crew.
  • Monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions to ensure the safety of marine activities.
  • Plan and execute safe and scenic boat routes, considering factors such as weather conditions, guest preferences, and time constraints.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of the surrounding waters, landmarks, and points of interest.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the resort's operational teams to ensure seamless coordination of marine activities.
  • Offer informative and engaging commentary during guided tours.
  • Oversee the proper handling and storage of marine equipment, ensuring all gear is in excellent condition.
  • Assist guests in the proper use of water sports equipment when necessary.

Qualifications
  • Valid Boat Skipper License and relevant maritime certifications.
  • Proven experience as a Boat Skipper with a successful track record in marine operations.
  • Excellent navigational and seamanship skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local marine regulations and safety standards.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
