Job description

Job Purpose:


To manage and support fabric development activities from concept to bulk, ensuring reproducible, quality, and risk-free production. Collaborate with mills and internal teams to translate design and technical requirements into commercially viable fabrics, while driving continuous improvement in fabric standards, processes, and sourcing efficiency.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Support Denim fabric development at source to ensure bulk production is reproducible and risk-free.
  • Collaborate with Fabric Manager in understanding Design / PDS guideline and translating aesthetic requirements into fabric parameters that can provide commercially viable product for mass production.
  • Work with mills to resolve technical issues during Development and pre-production.
  • Work with mill & counterpart to provide standards / processes / risk analyse for new fabric development and share with garment team and garment vendors. 
  • Fabric grids are updated accurately with all appropriate info for workshop, customer samples (mill, cost, lead time, specification)
  • Effective internal and external relationships to present and incorporate continuous development of fabrics.
  • Follow up in all development and production data logs for KPI data integration
  • Work with mills on NFD program data updates
  • Support in Fabric Planning activities

Experience and Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering (weaving/Chemistry), or sciences, master’s degree holder will have preference.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Denim mill development and sourcing

  • Ability to multitask effectively.
