American Creativity Academy (ACA), a leading international school in Kuwait, is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Counselor / Student Support Counselor to join our academic team.

The School Counselor will play an important role in supporting students’ academic success, personal development, and emotional wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership, teachers, parents, and students to provide counseling services, guidance programs, and student support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Support students with academic planning, goal setting, and career awareness.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student wellbeing and academic progress.
• Deliver guidance lessons and classroom presentations on personal and social development topics.
• Assist with student scheduling, placement, and student records when required.
• Participate in parent conferences, student support teams, and intervention planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals to external support services when necessary.
• Maintain professional development and remain updated on best practices in school counseling.
• Support school initiatives related to student wellbeing and guidance programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, School Counseling, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in School Counseling preferred.
• 1–2 years of counseling or school experience preferred.
• School counselor or teaching license preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
