Job description

The Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the Security & Fire Systems industry by bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs. This position requires a blend of engineering knowledge and sales acumen to effectively promote and sell security and fire protection solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing technical support, and driving sales growth through effective communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs to recommend appropriate security and fire system solutions.
  2. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of products to potential clients.
  3. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that proposed solutions meet technical specifications.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  5. Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
  6. Provide post-sales support and training to clients on the use of security and fire systems.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position products in the market.
  8. Prepare detailed proposals and quotations for clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  9. Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and network with potential clients.
  10. Monitor and report on sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  1. Strong technical background in security and fire systems.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Willingness to travel for client meetings and site assessments.
  7. Experience in customer relationship management.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Proficiency in using sales software and tools.
