Job Summary
We are hiring a results-driven Sales Engineer with a strong background in electrical construction for commercial projects. This role combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to support the acquisition and execution of commercial developments, including office buildings, malls, mixed-use facilities, schools, and hospitals. The Sales Engineer will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to deliver value-driven solutions from pre-sales through project completion.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, target, and develop relationships with commercial property developers, consultants, and MEP contractors.
- Manage and grow a pipeline of large-scale commercial electrical projects.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that highlight the company’s technical capabilities and value proposition.
Technical Pre-Sales Support
- Analyze tender documents, electrical drawings, and technical specs to prepare accurate and competitive quotes.
- Recommend suitable materials, systems (e.g., switchgear, lighting, power distribution), and installation methods.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure pricing and technical compliance.
Project Interface
- Support transition from sales to execution: assist with kickoff meetings, technical clarifications, and client expectations.
- Provide technical input during project execution if needed, and support change order negotiations.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor trends in commercial electrical construction (e.g., energy efficiency, smart building systems).
- Stay updated on local regulations, tender cycles, and key commercial development timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of sales, technical, or project experience in commercial electrical construction.
- Proven track record working with consultants, general contractors, and MEP firms on large-scale commercial jobs.
- Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, commercial power distribution, lighting systems, and low-voltage systems (e.g., BMS, fire alarms).
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driving license; willingness to visit client sites and projects.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in managing sales cycles for projects over [insert threshold, e.g., $500,000].
- Understanding of LEED/green building standards and energy-saving technologies.
- Bilingual – Arabic & English.

Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of electrical systems in commercial buildings (e.g., MV/LV distribution, lighting design, cabling, grounding, and panel boards).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and BOQs.
- Familiarity with MEP integration and coordination among HVAC, fire alarm, lighting control, and power systems.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, local authority requirements).

- Strong B2B sales acumen with ability to handle long sales cycles and complex stakeholder structures.
- Experience engaging with consultants, main contractors, and project managers during the bid and negotiation stages.
- Proactive follow-up and pipeline management skills, with a track record of closing commercial project deals.

- Expertise in preparing techno-commercial proposals, cost estimates, and compliance documentation for tenders.
- Understanding of margin analysis, value engineering, and offering competitive, compliant solutions.

- Practical awareness of site conditions, construction phasing, and project execution challenges.
- Ability to coordinate with execution teams to ensure smooth client handover and technical clarity.
💬 Communication & Presentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
- Skilled at presenting technical content in a clear, solution-oriented manner to non-technical stakeholders.
🛠️ Digital & Engineering Tools
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce).
- Familiarity with tender platforms (e.g., Etimad, Meras, or regional e-tendering portals) is a plus.
