Job description

The procurement engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services necessary for engineering or manufacturing projects. They ensure timely delivery of high-quality items at the best possible cost while complying with company and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project specifications, material requirements, and technical drawings to determine procurement needs
  • Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with project requirements
  • Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and perform cost analyses
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors and suppliers
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and monitor delivery timelines to ensure timely receipt of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and warehouse teams for smooth procurement-to-delivery process
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, delivery, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company’s policies, industry regulations, and ISO standards
  • Handle procurement documentation, vendor registration, and prequalification processes.
  • Resolve supplier issues related to delays, quality, or non-compliance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

  • Understanding of international procurement, incoterms, and logistics processes
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
