Overview This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq Under the supervision of the Site Manager and/or Task Order Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Site Manager with the day to day operational execution of all LOGCAP Program functions at the assigned location, supervises and provides leadership to assigned personnel, and has responsibility for problem resolution, planning, execution, and leadership of LOGCAP functions across the site. The Operations Manager must demonstrate exemplary management and leadership capabilities, especially in the areas of collaboration, team building, talent development, fiscal and human resources management, and process improvement. On behalf of the Site Manager, the Operations Manager will also interface directly with the Customer for mission accomplishment and problem resolution. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Assist the Site Manager and/or Task Order Manager with the day to day operations of the assigned Site; serves as the main POC for the site in the absence of the Site Manager + Provides oversight to the assigned locations Operations staff + Ensures that all CDRL reporting requirements are met within the established timelines + Provides leadership, consultation, and mentoring to all assigned personnel, creates development opportunities for junior leaders and fosters a culture of continuous teaming throughout the organization. + For his/her assigned location/area ensures that organizational goals are in alignment with Vectrus objectives + Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications + Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred. + Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired + PMP certification desired. + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Experience: + Five to eight years as a manager in a multi-discipline environment comparable to that offered under this contract. + Preferred background in military installation base support/infrastructure management. + Skills: + Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. + Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. + Knowledgeable of how to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. + Must be able to read, write and speak the English language with proficiency. + Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork. + Must exercise discretion and good sound judgment. Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office and/or other related applications. + Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office and/or other related applications. + Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities: + Assists with the Management of assigned personnel as required. + Working Conditions: + Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. + Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. + Physical Requirements: + Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. + Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. + Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
