Test Engineer- Network Security

This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Job Description:

What you will do :

•    Able to articulate, document and communicate ideas across team

•    Configure, deploy and provision multiple virtual instances of different platforms in a diverse environment

•    Design, automate and implement improvements in Engineering practices

•    Work closely with multiple stakeholders to gain input on the system

•    Ability to learn quickly and think of solutions to problems encountered during completion of tasks

What you will bring :

•    A BE/B. Tech. or higher degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent

•    A minimum of 6+ years of experience as an individual contributor in a Networking Product development company and worked in Network Security Technologies.

•    Working Knowledge and strong understanding of Security Networking Platforms, Security firewalls (Layer-2 to Layer-7), HTTPS, Internet proxy, NAT, DNS, SSL VPN, TLS, multi-factor authentication and IPSEC technologies, IDS, high availability technologies, L2- MAC filtering, VLAN segmentation, ARP Spoofing, DHCPv4/v6.

•    Strong automation skills in Python, REST APIs and/or Perl, debugging skills, should leverage AI-Driven testing and Automation. Should have work experience in AI-based tools GitHub Co-pilot, LLMs testing tools.

•    Excellent knowledge of Network protocols, TCP/IP, Linux networking stack (ipv4/v6/IPSec etc.), Ability to research functional specifications, RFCs, and other technical documentation to create effective, efficient, and innovative solutions.

•     Good understanding and working knowledge of routing technologies including OSPF, BGP, GRE Tunnel and VPNs with the ability to handle customer escalations.

•    Good and working knowledge of traffic generators like IXIA, SPRIENT is a plus

•    Good knowledge of Router/Firewall arch is a plus; Routing and Security certification holder is an added advantage.

•    Strong problem-solving and communication skills required, with ability to work harmoniously in a dynamic group

•    UNIX internals and systems automation expertise in developing modular automation APIs for networking equipment.

•    A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, systems, programming practices
