You’ll make a difference by: As an experienced EMI/EMC Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our Project lifecycle, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility across various systems. Your main responsibilities will include: EMI/EMC Design & Compliance: Enforce and uphold EMI/EMC design and manufacturing rules throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare detailed clause-by-clause analyses of customer specifications during the tender phase, including associated cost estimates. Develop comprehensive EMI/EMC transverse requirements specifications for projects, identifying EMI/EMC requirements and allocating them effectively to subsystems. Create detailed EMI/EMC Control Plans, defining EMI/EMC activities, deliverables, design requirements, and test strategies based on project EMI/EMC requirements. Conduct thorough design verification, including general architecture, subsystem layouts, electrical interfaces, and HV/MV/LV cabling. Collaborate with suppliers/OEMs on the compilation, audit, evaluation, and preparation of EMI/EMC reports and relevant certificates. EMI/EMC Testing & Validation : Prepare precise EMI/EMC test specifications (both laboratory and field test plans). Review and verify EMI/EMC test specifications and reports provided by subsystem suppliers. Execute EMI/EMC tests on test benches and/or on-site, providing accurate and timely associated test reports. Compile comprehensive EMI/EMC Compliance Files upon project completion. Hands-on experience with the measurement devices like Spectrum Analyzer, LISN, EMC Antennas etc., Problem Solving & Improvement: Diagnose and resolve complex EMI/EMC issues encountered during projects. Actively participate in the definition, development, and continuous improvement of EMI/EMC guidelines, processes, design rules, reference solutions, and return-on-experience documentation. Contribute to the creation of design review checklists, project document templates, test specifications, and the evaluation of simulation tools and test instrumentation. Propose and lead EMI/EMC R&D initiatives to advance our capabilities. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, such as Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic and communication Engineering, or a related field. Specialization or advanced coursework in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC). Mandatory: 4–6 years of professional experience specifically within the EMI/EMC domain. Strong understanding of power electronics, electrotechnics, and relevant industry applications, such as railways: rolling stock, traction equipment, signalling, and communication equipment. In-depth knowledge of sources of electromagnetic disturbances and electromagnetic phenomena. Expertise in EMI/EMC design rules and their practical application, including earthing and bonding principles for electrical equipment installed on trains. Proficiency with relevant EMI/EMC standards, such as IEC, EN, ISO, FCC, CISPR, and MIL-STD, with specific experience in the EN 50121 series, such as EN 50121-3-1 and EN 50121-3-2. Familiarity with EMI/EMC numerical simulation tools and practices. Demonstrated experience in EMI/EMC project management and coordination. Advanced level of English, including speaking, writing, and reading, for effective global collaboration. High degree of autonomy, proactivity, and responsiveness. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical information, influence stakeholders, and synthesise findings.
