About the role

Role Overview




We are looking for an experienced L3 Storage & Backup Engineer responsible for design validation, advanced troubleshooting, implementation governance, performance optimization, and high availability of enterprise storage and backup environments. The role requires deep expertise in SAN/NAS storage, backup architectures, disaster recovery, and multi-vendor data center environments.





Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare HLD/LLD and execute the approved HLD/LLD.
  • Provide expert Level escalation support for complex storage and backup incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for performance, replication, and backup failures.
  • Troubleshoot SAN fabric issues (zoning, connectivity, multipathing).
  • Resolve backup job failures, catalog corruption, and restore issues.
  • Coordinate with application and OS teams during major incidents.
  • Provision LUNs, volumes, and storage pools.
  • Configure RAID groups and tiering policies.
  • Monitor and optimize IOPS, latency, and throughput.
  • Implement thin provisioning and capacity planning.
  • Perform firmware upgrades and non-disruptive migrations.
  • Configure backup policies (full, incremental, differential).
  • Manage backup infrastructure (media servers, repositories).
  • Perform periodic restore testing and DR drills.
  • Configure replication (local and remote).
  • Ensure compliance with retention and archival policies.
  • Execute storage migrations (array-to-array / technology refresh).
  • Implement SAN/NAS deployments.
  • Configure backup solutions for new workloads.
  • Prepare and execute MOPs during change windows.
  • Support DC migration and DR site setup.
  • Configure storage replication (sync/async).
  • Support DR failover and failback testing.
  • Ensure RPO/RTO compliance.
  • Maintain DR documentation and recovery runbooks.

Experience Requirements



  • 8–15 years of experience in enterprise storage & backup.
  • Experience in large Data Center environments.
  • Hands-on experience in DR drills and migrations.

Certifications (Preferred)
