Job description

Retail Business Services (RBS) is Amazon's central organization for the retail business, providing data-driven decision support, measurement frameworks, and AI-powered tools that help Amazon's retail teams identify where to invest, what to prioritize, and how to measure impact across selection, pricing, and customer experience.
In RBS, the Senior Program Manager owns end-to-end program execution for the Selection Performance portfolio, driving pilot delivery, production scaling, stakeholder adoption, and operational cadence across concurrent workstreams with director-level and VP-level visibility.
Key job responsibilities
- Own program execution across multiple concurrent pilots and production workstreams spanning branded selection prioritization, unbranded selection guidance, and emerging partner integrations.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with Science, Tech, Product, and business unit partner teams to move programs from pilot validation through formal adoption and production scaling.
- Build and maintain program mechanisms: milestone tracking, risk management, escalation frameworks, and stakeholder communication cadences that operate at director-level and above.
- Manage dependencies across adjacent programs and production pipelines, sequencing delivery to honor committed dates across parallel workstreams.
- Own stakeholder socialization for new program outputs, including structured feedback collection from category managers, selling partners, and Account Managers.
- Define and track success metrics for pilot programs, translating statistical validation results into adoption narratives that partner teams can act on.
- Operate as connective tissue between research teams focused on signal quality and engineering teams focused on production infrastructure, ensuring neither workstream blocks the other.
- Leverage AI-native tools and methodologies (generative AI agents, automated reporting, LLM-powered analysis) to accelerate program execution and reduce manual operational overhead.
A day in the life
The day is split between unblocking workstreams, driving adoption conversations with partner teams, and producing leadership-ready communications. Context-switching across four to six parallel programs is the norm, not the exception.
About the team
RBS's Selection Performance team builds AI-powered prioritization systems that identify the highest-impact catalog gaps for Amazon to fill. The team combines competitive intelligence, demand signals, and catalog saturation analysis into actionable scoring frameworks that guide selection investment decisions across multiple business units and partner organizations.
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
