Role Overview As a Software Engineer I at United Field Services, you’ll be focused on building, improving, and maintaining the software that powers our nationwide property preservation platform.
Your day-to-day work centers on writing clean, reliable code, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the stability and growth of our internal and external systems.
You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and product teams while developing features, fixing bugs, and supporting integrations across our platform.
This role is hands-on and execution-driven, ideal for an engineer who wants to sharpen skills across the full stack while contributing to high-impact, real-world solutions.
This position reports to senior engineering leadership and plays an important role in strengthening the company’s digital infrastructure as we expand automation, MS, and AI-driven workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesFull-Stack Development Implement and maintain frontend features using React and Next.
js, and develop backend functionality using Python.
WordPress Support Assist with WordPress-based integrations and updates for CMS-driven features.
Bug Fixing & Issue Resolution Investigate, diagnose, and fix software defects across multiple modules, ensuring reliable system behavior.
Feature Implementation Translate requirements into working code, following established patterns, standards, and architecture guidelines.
System Collaboration Support ongoing enhancements to systems such as Orders, Scheduling, Vendor Management, and Portals.
API Development Build, test, and maintain RESTful API endpoints that power internal tools and external integrations.
DevOps & Deployment Support Participate in deployments, CI/CD workflows, version control practices, and basic AWS-related tasks.
Cross-Team Collaboration Work with QA, product teams, and senior engineers to ensure features are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications 2–3+ years of professional software development experience Solid experience with React, Next.
js, Python, HTML, and CSS Basic understanding of WordPress integrations Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, etc.
) Understanding of APIs, SQL fundamentals, and service-to-service communication Commitment to clean, maintainable code and consistent coding standards Strong communication and documentation abilities Preferred Qualifications Exposure to workflow-driven platforms, scheduling systems, or permission-based frameworks Understanding of common system design patterns and event-driven concepts Experience with high-usage SaaS platforms or field services tools Interest in long-term system modernization, automation, and scaling practices About United Field Services United Field Services, Inc.
