Role Summary

The External PR & Communications Manager will shape and execute Dentsu Global Services’ (DGS) external communications and public relations strategy, building visibility and trust in DGS as dentsu’s global capability center and innovation engine. This role will bring DGS’ narrative to life: a global innovation partner of choice, seamlessly integrating people, AI, technology and craft to deliver bold outcomes at scale.

This is a manager-level role requiring strong strategic thinking, crisp storytelling, and hands-on execution across media relations, thought leadership, and reputation building, working with senior leaders and teams across geographies to drive consistent value, message pull-through and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

PR Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute integrated external PR strategies aligned to DGS’ vision and growth agenda positioning DGS as a trusted, scale-ready partner and global innovation hub
• Translate business, technology, AI-first delivery, and talent narratives into compelling storylines that demonstrate craft excellence, trusted delivery, and measurable outcomes for clients and the dentsu network

• Build and manage relationships with key media, journalists, influencers and industry platforms across business, marketing, technology, AI, and talent domains
• Drive executive thought leadership through interviews, bylines, speaking opportunities, and awards strengthening DGS’ reputation for AI, innovation, craft excellence, among top GCCs
• Shape executive messaging and external points of view that reflect DGS’ positioning and proof points seamlessly integrating people, AI, technology, and craft to deliver bold outcomes

Content & Thought leadership development

• Oversee development of press releases, media kits, executive quotes, bylines, and reactive statements that bring DGS’ innovation, craft excellence, and client impact to life
• Ensure all external communications align with dentsu and DGS brand standards, tone of voice, and governance reinforcing consistency, quality, and trust

Measurement & Reporting

• Track PR effectiveness using clear metrics (coverage quality, message pull-through, share of voice, leadership visibility) and connect outputs to business outcomes and reputation impact
• Present regular PR performance updates and insights to senior stakeholders

Risk & Reputation Management

• Support proactive reputation management and issue preparedness, helping protect trust and confidence in DGS’ delivery, talent, and innovation

Skills & Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in external PR, corporate communications, influencer marketing or reputation management
• Experience operating in a complex global organization or PR agency, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across geographies and business lines
• Strong understanding of media landscapes across business, technology, and talent/employer branding
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supporting leadership communications and thought leadership programs
