The Seed Licensing Leader – Seeds is responsible for driving institutional and channel-led seed and related technology sales and licenses across APAC by building long-term partnerships with seed companies, large distributors, government agencies, FPOs, and institutional buyers. The role focuses on volume growth, margin expansion, portfolio penetration, and strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Key Accounts
Identify, onboard, and manage B2B customers including:
Seed companies (licensing / buy-back / private labels)
Large distributors & key trade partners
Government institutions and state seed corporations
FPOs, cooperatives, and corporate agri-projects
Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements, pricing, and annual business plans
Drive repeat and long-term contracts across key crops (e.g., mustard, pearl millet, maize & rice)
2. Portfolio & Crop Growth
Lead B2B adoption of:
Hybrids of different crops and different segments
Proprietary technologies / traits (where applicable)
Acres share gain of Company Genetics through partners brand.
Build crop-wise growth plans with partners geography wise.
Support new product launches through institutional trials and bulk adoption plans
3. Stakeholder Management
Coordinate closely with:
Seed production & planning teams
Supply chain, QA, and regulatory teams
Finance for credit control and collections
Ensure timely availability, dispatch, and fulfillment of B2B orders
Manage receivables and ensure adherence to agreed credit terms
4. Government & Institutional Engagement
Handle:
Government tenders and empanelment’s
State seed corporation business
Track subsidy programs and state procurement opportunities
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor:
Market prices, competitor offerings, and acreage trends
Seed replacement rates and demand–supply dynamics
Prepare annual and medium-term (3–5 year) forecasts
Provide inputs for portfolio, pricing, and expansion strategy
