Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

• 5 years of system engineering experience in private cloud and data center environments
• Strong expertise in hardware deployment, large‑scale enterprise servers, storage, and networking
• 5 years of hands‑on troubleshooting across network, storage, and Linux systems (RedHat/CentOS/Oracle Linux)
• Proven experience in data center design & operations — racks, cabling, power management, expansions, and refreshes
• Experience managing break/fix processes, vendor coordination, decommissioning, and complex infrastructure projects

It would be great if you also had...

• Experience with DCIM tools, monitoring tools, and alerting systems PowerIQ, ngios and centreon.
• Experience with Power Management Tools, virtualization platforms: Redhat KVM/VMware vSphere
• Experience with version control tools based on Git: GitHub/GitLab

What will you be doing in this role?

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and support Clarivate Private Cloud data centers: infrastructure hardware, software, security, servers, VMs, storage, networking; proactive monitoring, complex incident resolution, on‑call support, ticketing and escalations.
• Plan, deploy, and execute data center projects and changes: new DC expansions, cage builds, hardware deployments, infrastructure maintenance, capacity changes; lead/support projects and present work plans in CAB meetings.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation and DCIM artifacts: work plans for adds/moves/changes, rack layouts, cable matrices, schematics, inventory, lifecycle records, procedures, and private cloud portal access information.
• Collaborate and coordinate across teams and vendors: work with systems/network/storage engineers, facilities teams, 3rd‑party support, internal stakeholders, vendors, resellers; manage hardware deliveries, scheduling, and risk identification/mitigation.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement: integrate new standards and technologies, evaluate emerging solutions, maintain equipment, manage lifecycle tasks (refresh, recycle, repurpose), and ensure uptime, performance, power, temperature, humidity, and compliance.
