Regional Sales Manager – AWM - Delhi, India

Regional Sales Manager is responsible for handling multiple sales management functions in the assigned geographic region. Responsible for sales targets achievement, field force management (including talent management, KRA monitoring of field staff, distribution & trade channel management, key account & Key opinion leader (KOL) management.


What will you be doing?


Accountable for managing clinical seminars & conferences, and promotional campaigns (in consultation with local sales force and HO based clinical specialists & product management team).


Responsibilities:


  • Lead government business across North India and drive PAN India engagement with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)


  • Manage end-to-end tendering process across central/state institutions


  • Drive business through Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other procurement channels


  • Build strong relationships with key government stakeholders, procurement bodies, and institutions


  • Ensure compliance, pricing strategy, and successful bid management


  • Achieving sales target of assigned area, with a bias towards ensuring that product wise and individual team member’s sales targets are also achieved.


  • Maintaining sales records, analyzing the same, and ensuring that sales trends analyses are communicated to field staff, with clear future action plans.


  • Training, counseling, motivating and skill development of the team members.


  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory levels at (Distributor on Consignment Basis) DCBs (regional depots), and/or superstockists.


  • Liaise with the institutional stockiest/liaison agents and hospital stores & purchase personnel to strengthen the availability and usage of our products in the institutional segment.


  • Organizing, participating & ensure effective promotion of assigned company products during medical seminars and conferences.


  • Interaction with (Head Office) HO Marketing to procure technical and marketing information, and formulating tactics for field sales promotion.


  • Ensuring ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Developing key accounts, and Key Opinion Leaders for the focus products.


  • Ensuring timely delivery of comprehensive regional reports every sales period.


  • Ensure that self and all team members comply with ‘Code of Ethics’ as prescribed by the company from time to time.


What will you need to be successful?


Successful candidates would need the following:


  • Proven experience in government/tender business


  • Strong exposure to AIIMS and large institutional accounts


  • Hands-on experience with GeM platform


  • Candidates from wound care, medical devices, and critical care etc


    Minimum Graduate/MBA Preferred/Science Graduate (B. Pharm, B.Sc) preferred


  • Overall sales experience of at least 8-10 years in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, of which 2 years in regional level supervisory position.


  • Proficient knowledge and Experience in Medical Device industry. Should have the requisite knowledge about Medical Devices.


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills


  • Self-Driven and result oriented approach


  • Good communication & presentation skills.


  • Ability to grasp clinical terminology and competence to communicate product features & benefits in a clinical environment with healthcare professionals.


Travel Requirements: 50–75%
