In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Quality Engineer focused on User Experience & Accessibility, you will utilize usability tools and research methods to drive design improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application usability, usefulness, and desirability. You will also ensure compliance with industry standards for accessibility through regular audits. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Conduct Usability Research: Identify, understand, and utilize usability tools and research methods to provide actionable insights that drive future design improvements, collaborating with Requirements and User Experience Designers and User Interface Developers. * Perform Regression Testing: Execute regression testing on existing features to ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices, identifying and reporting defects through effective bug reporting processes. * Develop Manual Testing Plans: Create manual testing plans, test cases, and test data for new features and enhancements, ensuring thorough testing coverage. * Collaborate on Issue Resolution: Work with development teams to reproduce and resolve reported issues, providing detailed bug reports to facilitate efficient resolution. * Ensure Accessibility Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards for accessibility (WCAG), identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
