The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for aProjectManagerto join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will manage complexprojectsfrom initiation to delivery and completion. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete distinctprojectson time and within budget. As aProjectManager, you’ll need to be organized and detail-­oriented with substantial experience managing IT and software consultingprojects, relying on traditional systems and software development methodologies. This is a position with regular travel to customer sites in India.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple customer-facingprojectssimultaneously to success
  • Manageprojectscope and customer expectations
  • Manageprojectrisks, actions, issues, and dependencies (RAID)
  • Manageprojectbudget and time frame
  • Build content forprojectactivities likeprojectkickoff,projectstatus, andprojectcloseout
  • Leadprojectmeetings involving both customer and Red Hat’s consulting team members
  • Coordinate with territory servicesmanagersand the ResourceManagementOffice (RMO) to manageprojectstaffing requirements
  • Work with the territory servicesmanagersto ensure that financial forecast is up to date for their respectiveprojects
  • Should Understand the T&M contracts and support the financial activities such as approvals on Timesheets, queries from accounting, forecasting the hours for theproject, etc. 
  • Develop basic knowledge of Red Hat’s technologies to guide successfulprojectmanagement, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat Satellite
  • Maintain professionalism when solving problems and resolving issues

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of specificprojectmanagementand software delivery methodologies like agile, scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), andProjectManagementInstitute (PMI)
  • Practical experience using various agile development tools like Trello, Rally, or Atlassian Jira orprojectmanagementtools like MicrosoftProject
  • 6+ yearsof experience working as aprojectmanageror scrum master on IT or application developmentprojects
  • Ability to affect, inspect, and adapt to culture
  • Demonstrated ability to motivateprojectteam and individual contributors and to mediate conflicts
  • Excellent customer­-facing and internal communication skills
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills; attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Projectmanagementor scrum certifications are a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% per year to be on-site at customer locations forproject-related activities
  • Experience with managing Government, BFSI customers is a plus. 
  • Experience in delivering PaaS solutions is preferred.
