Your new role – challenging and future-oriented The Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) function is the driver of cost transparency and optimization for externally purchased material, components, and systems in the SE product portfolio. As a Procurement Engineer for the SE TI STG Industrial Steam Turbine Business in Gurugram or Vadodara, you will manage a wide range of projects. Your main focus is the Vadodara product portfolio, but you work as part of a global team with locations such as Goerlitz, Brno, and Jundiaí. Your tasks include developing cost optimization ideas, leveraging supplier innovation, and transferring improvements to customer products. Beyond optimizing existing products, you represent SE Procurement in new product development and emerging business fields. As a core member in key R&D projects, you collaborate closely with Project Managers to meet targets - especially target cost - by integrating strategic suppliers early and applying design‑to‑cost methods. Role and Responsibilities: You will act as key interface for CVE and Procurement for Industrial Steam Turbines, covering core turbine and auxiliary systems Drive cost out initiatives with a strong focus on design to cost, working closely with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Proposal teams. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Bid Management, and Project Procurement to support competitive bids for new or optimized product offerings. Represent Procurement in major R&D projects to ensure new products meet market requirements at competitive cost levels. Act as a technical partner to Procurement in shaping and executing effective sourcing strategies across material fields Leverage know-how and innovation power of our suppliers to make SE products most competitive Integrate an extended network of experts in other procurement functions in the projects you work on (e.g. Cost Engineers, Commodity Managers, Supplier Quality Managers).
