Job Title : Performance Engineer


PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 


The Performance Engineer is responsible to perform the following : -


  • Management of all database related work for relevant warranty /Service projects with respect to Trains product failures and RCA management
  • Manage relevant KPIs
  • Data management for Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting as per Contractual Requirements.
  • Submit the Daily, Weekly, Monthly and KPI reports to customer and internal stake holders on time.
  • Support 24hr Fleet Management, Fleet Planning and Fleet Coordination
  • Continuous coordination and Synchronisation with Service and Fleet team for data capturing and data management for Smooth Train operation

Key accountabilities:


  • Provide up-to-date data/ information on fleet status to internal and external customers
  • Coordination with Intra dept and inter dept for Train In and Out Management and Align wih Customer for KPIs
  • Manage the day-to-day comunications with all Customer & Operator regarding service provision of the Trains
  • Communicate fleet availability/performance-KPI to all areas of the Business & Customer
  • Monitor Product performance and track data for providing reports
  • Active Participation in Daily customer meeting and FRACAS meeting.
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly and KPI reports and submit to customer & internal stack holders within the contractual defined time line.
  • Active follow up for Reliability Growth actions in cooperation with RAMS, Supplier and Quality Team.
  • Ensure the data qualty in GSI and also improve data quality captured in GSI close coordination with depot team
  • Technical report preparation for critical failures/ Service failures.
  • Conducts peer reviews of PI activities and provide technical leadership if requested
  • Contribute to Return of Experience

Performance measurements:


  • Achievement of contractual availability (milestone) targets
  • Manage all related KPIs (internal and external) in alignment with Customer
  • Characterization of K1S/K2/K3 issues on time (considering K1S – safety relevant issue, K2 – issue causing major passenger service disruption, K3 – issue having impact on service availability and product reliability)
  • Completeness and Quality of failure/event diagnosis/data recorded in Defect Management data base
  • Timely submission of all Reports.
  • Audit results (internal and external)
  • Coordination with CFT for MOMs of all Meetings relater to fleet performance
  • Customer satisfaction of technical expertise
  • Compliance with EHS rules and work-related processes

Educational Requirements :


  • B Tech in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent, MBA preferred.
  • IT skills – High level of compétency in Personal Computer, including office packages, specifically MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
  • High level of MS power point and MS Excel skill is a must with all advance fitures like ‘functions’, ‘slicers’, etc for data handling

Experience


  • Strong data management and analytical capability
  • Atleast 4 years of experience associated with Indian Railways or in Metro Corporations in the domain of Train/Locomotive /Metro Fleet coordination/Operation/ Customer Coordination/Troubleshooting/PRT Management/Helpline Management
  • IT skills – High level of compétency in Personal Computer, including office packages, specifically MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access,
  • Knowledge of quality and safety systems
  • A general knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Experience of working in a Service Site or Production environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of our customers.
