We are looking for a Material Planner & Scheduler The Material Planner & Scheduler is responsible for end-to-end material availability and production scheduling to ensure on-time execution of CSN factory production plans. The role drives MRP-based planning, shopfloor schedule adherence, inventory Planning, and supplier coordination, ensuring optimal balance between OTD (On-Time Delivery), working capital, and capacity utilization. You’ll make a difference by Production Scheduling (Short & Mid-Term): Create and maintain daily/weekly production schedules aligned to customer demand, order priorities, and capacity constraints. Convert plan into workable shopfloor schedules and coordinate sequencing with production supervisors. Monitor and improve schedule adherence, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions. Lead daily plan vs. actual review with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams. Material Planning & MRP Execution: Run and manage MRP (SAP ECC / S4) and translate outputs into actionable purchase/transfer requisitions. Ensure material availability at correct time, quantity, and storage location for uninterrupted production. Maintain planning parameters (MRP type, safety stock, lot size, lead time, reorder point) and improve master data accuracy. Trigger and track expedites, rescheduling, and de-expediting actions with procurement/suppliers. Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with Strategic/Operational Buyers for timely ordering, confirmations, and delivery commitments. Manage supplier delivery performance: tracking promise date vs. actual, follow-up for shortages, delays, and quality holds. Drive proactive risk mitigation for critical parts (dual sourcing support, buffer strategies, alternative materials with engineering approval). Inventory & Warehouse Alignment Maintain healthy inventory levels by controlling: Excess & Obsolete (E&O), Slow-moving inventory, Shortage/stock-out risks. Coordinate with warehouse for: Material staging, Kitting / line feeding, GR posting accuracy and bin/location availability, Improve inventory accuracy through cycle count support and root cause analysis. Cross-Functional Planning Cadences: Participate in planning meetings such as: Daily production meeting, Weekly supply review, Monthly S&OP / demand-supply balancing (as applicable) Align with Engineering/Quality for: ECN implementation impacts, Alternative part approvals, Material release holds and rework planning Continuous Improvement & Digitization: Drive continuous improvement projects in planning & scheduling: Reduce planning variability and firefighting, Improve material call-off / pull-based replenishment where suitable, Automation in SAP reports / dashboards / alerts (where applicable) Support audits and compliance requirements related to stock, traceability, and planning discipline. Key Interfaces (Internal & External) Internal: Production / Manufacturing / Shopfloor teams/Project Management, Procurement (Operational Buyers), SCM, Warehouse & Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Finance / Controlling (inventory & working capital) External: Suppliers / transporters (for inbound material commitments), Siemens Graz / Vienna, Service providers (if subcontracting / job-work is part of scope) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Schedule Adherence (%) (Plan vs Actual), Material Availability / Line Stoppage due to material (Nos / Hrs), Inventory Turns / Working Capital adherence, Past due / Shortage list aging, Supplier OTD (Inbound) & expedite frequency, Master data accuracy (lead times, MOQ, safety stock correctness) Desired Skills: You should have experience of 5-8 years Strong knowledge of Material Planning (MRP/MPS), production planning, and scheduling. Experience in SAP (MM/PP)—MRP runs, PR/PO tracking, stock overview, production order basics. Good understanding of BOM structures, lead times, capacity constraints, and planning parameters. Ability to analyze data and prioritize actions using shortage lists and exception messages. Behavioral / Professional High ownership and urgency; ability to manage priorities in dynamic production environments. Strong stakeholder management (production, procurement, suppliers).
