The Manager – Construction leads a team of installation supervisors and technicians to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality installation of elevators and escalators, from site preparation to handover with zero defects. The role drives operational excellence, customer management, manpower planning, and team development to support business and project outcomes.
· Provide leadership to supervisors and stakeholders to achieve business targets.
· Ensure timely installation as per business target across assigned locations, adhering to Otis installations process and standards.
· Adhere to Otis installation standards.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and perform site audits.
· Ensure high-quality construction execution and adherence to performance standards.
· Monitor erection work continuously and drive timely job completion.
· Develop and manage Sub-contractors.
· Ensure cost control of projects (NRM) and monitor variation order.
· Engage with customers to address technical queries and provide necessary support to supervisors.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, architects, property owners, and relevant government authorities.
· Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and ensure seamless project execution.
· Lead handover ceremonies and strengthen customer rapport.
· Plan and schedule jobs in coordination with construction teams and supervisors.
· Prepare annual business plans and consolidate team objectives.
· Lead manpower planning, rolling plans, and monthly completion schedules.
· Oversee material ordering and ensure accuracy and timeliness of site requirements.
· Monitor team performance and guide improvement initiatives.
· Lead MIS, reporting, and structured reviews with team members.
· Conduct monthly area meetings to track progress, review timelines, and resolve issues.
· Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with 7–12 years of relevant experience.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Experience leading a large team (ASMs, engineers, technicians, erectors & Field partners).
· Experience in elevator, field engineering, service industry, or HVAC (preferred).
