This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless billing experience for our customers and contributing to the continuous improvement of accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in billing functions, excel in communication, and demonstrate strong organizational skills. They should be proactive, efficient, and capable of leading and scaling a growing team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

The impact you will have:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Billing Analysts, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and scaling team capability.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of all customer billings, including recurring subscriptions, usage-based charges, professional services, and one-time fees.
  • Ensure invoices are complete, compliant, and delivered within defined SLAs and contractual timelines.
  • Manage and resolve complex and escalated billing inquiries through the Salesforce billing queue, partnering cross-functionally to drive timely resolution.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Perform critical month-end close activities, including A/R roll-forwards and account reconciliations, and support quarter-end audit requirements.
  • Manage customer and vendor portals, including invoice uploads against purchase orders and ongoing updates.
  • Submit and process credit requests and billing adjustments, ensuring accurate updates to A/R records.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of billing and A/R processes, controls, and policies.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in SaaS billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations, including 4+ years leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of usage-based and subscription billing models, global billing best practices, compliance standards, and revenue processes within a large organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex billing escalations, supporting month-end and quarter-end close (including reconciliations and A/R roll-forwards), and ensuring audit readiness under tight deadlines.
  • Strong systems expertise, including global ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), Salesforce, payment platforms, spreadsheet-based data analysis, and ticketing queue management; SQL proficiency for reporting is a plus.
  • Experience working with vendor and customer portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and PO-backed invoicing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Deal Desk, IT, Engineering), drive process improvements, adapt to evolving priorities, and communicate complex billing concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret large datasets accurately.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and drive change where needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical billing concepts for cross-functional stakeholders.
