We are seeking an experienced Java + Azure Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern, cloud-native, event-driven applications on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java 17, reactive programming (WebFlux, Reactor), microservices, and event-driven architectures, with strong hands-on experience across a broad range of Azure PaaS services. This is a strategic technical leadership role, responsible for guiding teams, defining standards, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define and lead the architecture of microservices-based and event-driven applications on Azure.
Design and implement high-performance, reactive applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux/Reactor, and Micronaut.
Architect and operationalize event streaming solutions using Kafka and integrate with Azure messaging services (Event Hubs, Service Bus, Event Grid).
Leverage Azure PaaS services such as App Service, Azure Spring Apps, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management (APIM), Redis Cache, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.
Drive cloud-native deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Define standards for API design, event contracts, and integration patterns.
Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and security in application design.
Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into technical architecture.
Establish best practices for observability, resiliency, and DevOps automation.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.

Programming & Frameworks
Strong expertise in Java 17.
Hands-on with reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, Micronaut).
Deep knowledge of Spring Boot for building modern cloud-native services.
Architecture
Proven experience designing microservices and event-driven architecture.
Strong background in distributed system design and API-first approaches.
Event Streaming & Messaging
Proficiency with Kafka for event streaming.
Hands-on experience with Azure Event Hubs, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
Azure Cloud & PaaS
Experience with a wide range of Azure PaaS services, including:
App Service
Azure Spring Apps
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure Functions
Logic Apps
API Management (APIM)
Redis Cache
Azure PostgreSQL
Cosmos DB
Persistence Layer
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB for relational and NoSQL data storage.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of service mesh, Dapr, or API Gateway patterns.
Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in Azure cloud.
Exposure to observability platforms like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Prometheus/Grafana.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience.
