As the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape continues to evolve and grow in importance to the firm’s corporate business activities and external stakeholders (clients, shareholders, and regulators), the firm has established a Firmwide ESG Reporting & Controller Team to manage end-to-end controls and ensure consistency and accountability across reporting processes firmwide.
The ESG Reporting & Controller Team is seeking to hire an Associate who is a highly motivated team player, eager to gain a broad understanding of the ESG landscape and become a valued partner to various corporate functions, while building strong partnerships within the ESG Reporting & Controller Team.
As an Associate within the Firmwide ESG Reporting & Controller Team, you will support JPMorgan Chase’s environmental sustainability strategy by helping our clients navigate challenges and realize the economic opportunities associated with the transition to a low-carbon economy. Job Responsibilities:
Execute and streamline existing Net-Zero Emissions (NZE) industries/sectors (Oil & Gas, Power, Automotive, Aviation, Iron & Steel, Cement, etc.) reporting based on Carbon Compass Methodology & perform analysis to support firm’s Net Zero-aligned portfolio intensity emissions reduction targets working closely with Carbon Transition (CCT) and their business management teams
Enhance and automate existing processes with a control mind set using intelligent solutions
Work with technology partners and project managers in building detailed requirements for development of strategic infrastructure to support business’s reporting
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years financial reporting, regulatory reporting, controller or business/risk analytics-related experience
Proficient in building financial models and interpret large data sets
Working knowledge on business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Tableau etc.
Experience working in or alongside Technology to drive business requirements and deliver strategic infrastructure
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative, to prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks, and to work under deadlines and changing priorities in order to drive results
Must be results-oriented and focused on big picture with superior attention to detail.
