Data Science Intern

About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Hyderabad office and support our data engineering and quality assurance initiatives. In this role, you will perform ETL and data warehouse testing, data validation, source-to-target validation, and provide SIT/UAT, release, and production support to ensure data integrity across our systems.

Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing ETL testing for various data pipelines
Conduct data warehouse testing to validate data accuracy and consistency
Perform comprehensive data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems
Support data migration testing activities to ensure seamless data transfer
Execute source-to-target validation and identify discrepancies
Provide SIT support by executing test cases and logging defects
Assist with UAT support, coordinating with stakeholders to validate business requirements
Perform release validation to ensure data quality in each deployment
Conduct production validation and post-release data checks
Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve data issues

Required Qualifications:
0–2 years of experience in ETL testing and data quality assurance
Hands-on experience with ETL testing methodologies and tools
Experience in data warehouse testing to ensure data integrity
Knowledge of data validation and reconciliation techniques
Familiarity with data migration testing practices
Understanding of source-to-target validation processes
Experience supporting SIT and UAT test phases
Ability to perform release and production validation
Proficiency in writing test cases and defect documentation
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Basic programming skills in Python or R
Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience working in agile development environments
