Role: As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for Designing and implementing big data technologies through the application of high-performance computing, large scale data integration and emerging analytical platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Data Collection and Interpretation: Gather and interpret data from various sources to identify relevant information and insights Pattern and Trend Identification: Analyze data sets to identify patterns and trends, enabling informed decision-making and forecasting Insight Derivation: Derive actionable insights and forecasts from data analysis, supporting business objectives and strategies Data Quality Assessment: Assess data quality and implement remediation measures to ensure accuracy and reliability Data Mapping: Map data from different sources to facilitate integration and compatibility Report Creation and Data Visualization: Create comprehensive reports and visualize data using reporting tools to effectively communicate findings and insights Data Pipeline Management: Build and maintain data pipelines to streamline the flow of information and automate processes Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to their implementation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Requirements: Proficiency in analysing large data sets and writing comprehensive reports Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data Strong attention to detail and methodical mindset Strong problem-solving skills Intermediate understanding of databases and data models Hands-on experience with SQL database design Experience designing, developing, and publishing data ETL pipelines Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Storage Team skills and collaboration.
Desirable Skills: Understanding of reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI Excellent communication skills Education in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or C#.
