To do this, we need to rapidly grow our fantastic team and we’re searching for passionate and curious individuals to join our team to help the world.The EV Charging Planning and Performance Analyst is key to driving our business growth and success by maximizing utilization and optimizing commercial operations. They will collect, analyze, and present data and insights to support informed decision-making.Let me tell you about the roleThe Cost Engineer will be responsible for cost planning, budget control, CAPEX forecasting, and cost performance analysis for the overall programme with the support of the Project Controls Lead within the Build CoE. The cost engineer provides the programme with reliable cost intelligence, identifies financial risks early, and supports senior leadership decisions that improve cost efficiency and value for money. What you will deliverImplement and maintain a Cost reporting system with the support of the Build CoE Compile the Forecast Final Cost (FFC), cost phasing, variances and uncertainties for leadership review Provide support to the FAC (Forecast at Completion) and Cash Forecasting processes with analysis of data and variance analysis reporting Develop latest estimates to an acceptable level of accuracy looking at trend analysis, schedule performance and execution criteria. Identify cost trends, risks, and opportunities early and propose corrective actions or value engineering options. Provide insights linking cost performance with schedule, engineering challenges, procurement status, and site bottlenecks. Maintain and update the cost risk register, including contingencies and exposure tracking. Ensure all cost data is auditable, accurate, and compliant with internal financial controls. Support the development of stage gate appropriate Financial Memorandums (FMs) with estimating and scheduling norms. Work independently to manage cost reports at detailed WBS level including reporting and forecasting at project WBS. Support and functional ability with global standard systems including BTP and SAP Deliver appropriate stage gate estimates and bases of estimates. Support Purchase Order Management and support SAP. Including Vendor Invoice allocation to correct WBS in SAP and working closely with procurement and finance departments to ensure accurate timely reporting. Ensure region and programme change and risk impacts are captured in cost updates (inc. trends)Support the Build CoE with financial updates (GFO’s) Manage and accountable for budget releases, purchase orders, journals, accruals, goods receipting invoice payments, asset creation and other related financial data. Scenario management of sites and responsibility in managing accrued CAPEX in reported regions. Support development and maintenance of up-to-date cost benchmarks with the Build CoE. Undertake and / or support the continuous improvement exercises through the performance of project reviews.Support strategic decision making and overall programme direction through cost analysis Support the use of data systems and tools across the Build team What you will need to be successfulEssential Education: Degree in Engineering, Technical Field or Project Management or equivalent experience Essential Experience and Job Requirements: Experience in cost engineering on multi-disciplinary large-scale projects/ programmes. Solid, broad-based project experience in the different phases of the projects with an excellent track record of delivery. Detailed understanding of Cost engineering: VoWD, Phasing / forecasting, Accrued and Cash Capex, Trend analysis and variance analysis. Detailed understanding of Capex, Revex & Opex expenditure. . Broad understanding of Cost and relationship to Schedule. Computer literacy in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Visio; Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance are required. Ability to interface, influence, and work effectively with members of the Leadership Team. Bias for simplification and efficiency with focus on fit-for-purpose deliverables that meet the needs of the business. Strong ability to build teams, partnerships, actively engage and respect contributions of others. Excellent inter-personal skills and behaviours Ability to harness use of digital tools to provide high quality cost management reporting information Actively seeks opportunities for efficiencies, striving to manage costs and deliver budget Strong influence and communication skills, including writing reports & presenting Analytical and data driven mind set, keen eye for accuracy across reporting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and bring direction when processes are not clear. Able to create a performance culture that is designed to deliver success. Desirable criteria A member of ACostE or project management accreditation Ability to work under own initiative Knowledge of the EV market and the issues around an EV charging network
