This is an exciting time to join us and help shape the future. It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.

About the role

The Business Process Expert – Payments supports Haleon’s Enterprise Transformation Programme (SAP S/4HANA) by designing, governing and continuously improving end-to-end Payments processes. Partnering with the Business Process Owner and Finance/operating unit stakeholders, the role shapes the future-state vision and roadmap, ensures robust controls and a user-centric design, and drives adoption and benefit realisation through disciplined change delivery.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Business Process Owner to define the end-to-end Payments process vision, target operating model and roadmap aligned to SAP S/4HANA.

  • Lead workshops to capture requirements, assess “as-is” pain points and design user-centric “to-be” payment flows, roles/hand-offs and controls.

  • Drive process governance: prepare decision packs, steer outcomes through forums, and ensure timely communication of decisions, impacts and actions.

  • Define and embed KPIs and controls to measure payment performance, adoption and risk; drive continuous improvement to realise and sustain benefits.

  • Coordinate interdependencies across Finance and adjacent workstreams, aligning Payments designs to programme milestones, cutovers and release plans.

  • Support readiness for delivery by identifying capability/process gaps; create process documentation and partner with Training & Adoption to enable upskilling and benefit realisation.

  • Partner with Business Continuity and operational teams to define interim operating states and ensure a controlled, sustainable transition to the future-state Payments process.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting (or related).

·12+ years of strong end-to-end Payments process expertise (e.g., vendor payments, employee expense payments, bank payment files, approvals and controls) in a global organisation.

·Hands-on experience designing and documenting “to-be” processes, controls and SOPs using process mapping/modelling techniques and tools.

·Experience working with ERP-enabled Payments (SAP S/4HANA preferred) and related integrations (bank connectivity, payment formats, master data, approval workflows).

·Ability to define Payments KPIs and controls, analyse process performance and drive root-cause fixes across teams (risk, compliance, audit and operations).

Preferred Qualifications:

·Professional qualification preferred (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA).

·Experience in Consumer Health/FMCG and working across multiple operating units/geographies.

·Deep knowledge of Payments-related risk and controls (segregation of duties, payment approvals, fraud prevention, sanctions screening touchpoints) and working with internal/external audit.

·Experience delivering process change in large ERP/transformation programmes (design, testing support, cutover readiness, hypercare and stabilisation).

·Familiarity with Payments automation and optimisation (workflow, e-invoicing touchpoints, RPA/low-code) and data/visualisation tools to track process performance.

·Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions across Finance, Treasury, Procurement, IT and operating units.

·Exposure to multi-country banking and payment methods (cross-border payments, local clearing, payment formats/standards) within a shared services or global business model.
