Position Summary


The Associate Engineer – Managed Services is an entry-level, permanent role designed for individuals who have completed the Managed Services Internship program (or possess equivalent foundational skills). This position represents the primary entry point into the Managed Services engineering career path.


As an Associate Engineer, you will support the operational delivery of Managed Services across Application Support, EDI, Business Intelligence (BI), and Infrastructure. You will work under direct supervision, performing customer-facing and internal support tasks while building confidence, independence, and technical depth in the N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities


In this role, you will gradually take accountability for day-to-day operational tasks across Managed Services, including:


Application Support


  • Monitor and support the N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) and related components.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents under direct guidance.
  • Execute repeatable tasks such as job monitoring, configuration checks, and basic log reviews.

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)


  • Assist with EDI message deployments, partner configurations, and troubleshooting of common EDI issues.
  • Work with senior engineers to validate message flows and resolve basic data discrepancies.

Business Intelligence (BI)


  • Support existing BI dashboards and reporting solutions (Power BI, Crystal Reports, SQL queries).
  • Assist in data validation, report troubleshooting, and basic enhancements.

Infrastructure & Cloud


  • Gain exposure to server monitoring, networking basics, Windows/Linux administration, and cloud environments.
  • Support routine checks on servers, databases, and application services.

Operational Excellence


  • Respond to customer requests and incidents within defined SLAs and escalation processes.
  • Participate in shift/on-call rotations as you gain confidence.
  • Document solutions, update runbooks, and contribute to knowledge base materials.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to continuously improve processes and system stability.

Who You Are


  • A recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Someone who has completed the Managed Services Apprenticeship (preferred) or has equivalent foundational experience.
  • Eager to learn and build a long-term career in Application Support, EDI, BI, or Infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in customer-facing environments and handling technical issues under guidance.
  • Effective communicator with good written and verbal English skills.
  • Bonus skills (not mandatory): Linux, SQL, Networking fundamentals, Python, Power BI, Cloud concepts.
