Job Title:Production Supervisor
The post is based offshore in Ghana – Fixed Term 24 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The job holder liaises with the Production Superintendent in achieving cost-effective operations and maintenance of the Facility’s production systems with minimal impact on the environment; minimize all production-related risks associated with operations and maintenance being aware of safety of others,
Utilizes systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements
Supervise, mentor & coach team how to carryout first line production operations and plan maintenance activities as directed by the Production Supt. Supervise the safe and efficient operation of FPSO process and utility systems being aware of the safety of the entire personnel.Effective utilization of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in-line with TGL performance standards.
Coordinates the overall Production CCR activities and operations per the Superintendent’s directive
Carry-out all plant shutdown and equipment failures fault analysis and troubleshooting and coordinate the findings to the maintenance team for resolution and preventive action.
Oversee the implementation of the training and development needs of the Control Room and field operations systems in accordance with competency modules, and ensures effective post assessment of competence,
Liaises with the Superintendent in rolling out the annual employee objectives/KPIs by March 30 of every year; and ensuring mid-year reviews as well as completion of the end of year appraisals for Production Team.
Coordinates the number of staff needed for CCR panel operations in an emergency or during shortages
Be responsible for coordinating risk management requirements by ensuring all risks are identified and ensuring processes are established and implemented to manage such risks in line with the requirements and guidelines of the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah Safety Case.
Supervises the Production team in complying with planned maintenance systems and compiling the report of non-compliance.
Close supervision of production team in safely operating and maintaining the facility up to standard.
Undertake periodic refresher for the team on all safety requirements for the operations on the FPSO
Carry-out preventive production and repair work, shutdown, safe isolations and deisolation, planned production maintenance to highest standard.
Be the custodian for proper documentation and record keeping for the Production Unit/Team.
Ensure knowledge sharing, operational and emergency procedures, instructions, and company policy.
Monitor and report on spare parts consumables stock levels to the materials coordinator, and Superintendents
Coordinate the signoffs on work permit and ensure works are completed by the approved work permits.
This includes leading and developing isolation design and marked-up P&ID, TRA, and carry-out TBT.
Prepare and usage of ECOW PTW system.
Complies with the implementation of all facility management procedures.
Proactively contribute in the HSE plans, campaign and other related improvements. Lead the team by example in facility behavioral observation system.
Actively identify any safety and operational issues and report it to FMT.
Assists with plants start-ups and shutdowns per schedule.
Supports all contractors’ activities on process plant and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Assists in reviewing and updating Job descriptions for the department.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
BSc./ B. Tech in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering field.
Minimum years ofexperience in hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities or industrial processing.
Minimum years ofexperience in FPSO setting in a Supervisory role.
Experience in Safety Management System is an added advantage.
Ability to utilize interpersonal skills in resolving issues.
Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar qualification level.
Demonstrated ability to work on own initiativ.
Good Interpersonal skill.
Good understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
