Job Purpose :
The University Director serves as the chief executive academic and administrative leader and is responsible for strategic leadership, institutional performance, academic quality, governance compliance, and sustainable growth. The role ensures alignment with the University’s vision, mission, accreditation requirements, and online education standards.
Duties & Responsibilities :
1. Strategic and Institutional Leadership
Lead the University in accordance with its approved vision, mission, and strategic plan.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the University’s strategic and operational plans in coordination with the Board of Trustees.
2. Academic Oversight and Quality Assurance
• Provide overall supervision of academic affairs and academic programs.
• Ensure the quality of curricula, teaching, assessment, and online learning delivery.
• Oversee accreditation, quality assurance, and • Ensure achievement of institutional, academic, and financial objectives.
3. Executive and Operational Management
• Oversee all administrative, financial, technological, and student service functions.
• Approve and enforce University policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Monitor institutional performance through KPIs and performance reports. continuous improvement processes.
4. Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with higher education regulations, accreditation standards, and internal governance policies.
• Chair or supervise senior committees and councils, as required.
5. External Relations and Partnerships
• Represent governmental bodies, accreditation agencies, and partner institutions.
• Establish strategic partnerships at local, regional, and international levels.
• Identify and manage institutional risks and implement corrective actions.
6. Leadership Development and Institutional Culture
• Appoint, guide, and evaluate senior academic and administrative leaders.
• Promote a culture of academic excellence, integrity, accountability, and innovation.
• Enhance the University’s reputation and institutional standing.
7. Reporting and Accountability
• Submit periodic reports to the Board of Trustees and senior leadership.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and institutional effectiveness.
• Support digital transformation and advancement of online education.
• Follow up on the implementation of strategic decisions and recommendations.
Authority and Decision-Making
• Approve institutional policies, strategic initiatives, and operational plans.
• Recommend or approve appointments of senior academic and administrative leaders.
• Approve budgets and financial plans within delegated authority.
• Act as the official legal and academic representative of the University, in accordance with formal delegation.
