The Specification & Technical Support Engineer will act as a technical advisor and solution expert, bridging the gap between partners, customers, and internal teams to demonstrate product value and ensure solutions meet customer and project requirements.



The role is responsible for providing high-quality technical support to customers and channel partners, including solution design, technical validation, quotation preparation, and resolution of technical issues.



Working closely with the sales team, the engineer will understand customer requirements, provide technical expertise, and clearly demonstrate how Eaton products and solutions address client challenges and life safety needs.



Additionally, the role serves as the company’s technical interface with consultants, designers, and specifiers, presenting Eaton solutions and collaborating with their technical teams during project design, specification, and approval stages.



This position involves close engagement with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, support successful project execution, and ensure long-term satisfaction with Eaton’s products and services.



Key Responsibilities



  • Architect and design solutions to align with customer requirements, projects’ specifications and industry best practices
  • Respond to technical queries during sales meetings and assist in RFP/RFI responses
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to ensure accurate solution positioning and feasible implementation planning
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops tailored to client specifications
  • Provide feedback from clients to influence product development and enhancements
  • Support sales teams in closing deals by validating technical feasibility and demonstrating solution fit
  • Assist in training sales teams and channel partners on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, industry professionals, and end users
  • Ensure timely and accurate quotations to address projects/opportunities in assigned areas
  • Actively get involved with consultants in tender specification of large projects, drive specifications, and convert into leads


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in a similar role within Life Safety, Emergency Lighting (EML), Central Battery Systems (CBS), or safety industry
  • Proven experience working with consultants, designers, specifiers, and end users
  • Strong understanding of project specifications, tender processes, and design approvals
  • Experience supporting sales teams through technical validation and solution design
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory
