Egypt Education Platform is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Improvement Partner to join our team.
The School Improvement Partner & Career Counseling Lead will support the Vice President of Education (VP Education) and Deputy Director of Education (British steam) and Uni.
Careers Manager in overseeing the academic and career development programs across EEP schools.
This role combines responsibilities for driving educational excellence and managing comprehensive career guidance and counseling services, ensuring that students receive both high-quality academic instruction and tailored support for their future careers.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Educational Leadership: · Support the VP Education and Deputy Director of Education in overseeing the academic provision across EEP schools.
· Collaborate with school leaders to support, challenge, and validate self-evaluation processes.
· Facilitate teaching and learning school reviews, ensuring high-quality instruction and student outcomes.
· Implement quality assurance protocols and monitor progress through regular reports.
· Contribute to developing regional strategies and educational improvement plans.
· Ensure the implementation of school improvement plans, KPIs and agreed programs across schools.
2. Career Counseling and Guidance: · Lead the strategic plan for career guidance and counseling services across EEP schools.
· Collaborate with school leadership to develop and maintain tailored career programs.
· Establish a central Careers Policy and monitor its effective implementation.
· Connect school counselors regularly to support implementation of agreed events and initiatives.
· Stay informed about global university admission processes, standardized testing, and career pathways.
3. Student Support and Development: · Assist and follow up with one-on-one career counseling sessions, assessing students’ interests and goals.
· Organize career fairs, college visits, and industry-specific events.
· Provide guidance on university applications, resume writing, interview skills, and standardized tests.
· Foster relationships with universities, vocational institutions, and employers to create internship and networking opportunities.
4. Collaboration with School Counselors: · Work closely with school counselors to ensure consistent and effective career programs.
· Assist counselors in maintaining communication with parents regarding career options and educational pathways.
· Ensure alignment between students’ academic progress and their long-term career goals.
5. Professional Development: · Provide training and development opportunities for school counselors and academic staff.
· Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development to design workshops and training sessions.
· Promote best practices in career counseling and international education.
6. Compliance and Continuous Improvement: · Ensure that all schools comply with career counseling guidelines and protocols.
· Monitor the effectiveness of career programs and recommend improvements.
· Support schools in preparing for internal reviews and external inspections.
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Proven experience in school improvement efforts and knowledge of educational best practices.
Experience in career counseling or guidance with a focus on working with diverse student populations.
Strong analytical skills to assess educational practices and outcomes effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and lead professional development initiatives.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Professional certification in school counseling or educational leadership is an advantage.
