Siemens EDA is seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer to support the definition, promotion, and deployment of hardware-assisted acceleration using Veloce proFPGA CS prototyping solutions for leading semiconductor and systems customers. As part of the global Veloce expert team, you will work on cutting-edge prototyping solutions that enable pre- and post-silicon validation, verification, and software bring-up for some of the industry's most complex SoC and FPGA designs. This role focuses on external interface connectivity, including PCIe and Ethernet, leveraging the latest advancements in Siemens' proFPGA CS technology. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with proven leadership skills, deep expertise in hardware design and verification, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with customers and help deliver world-class electronic design automation solutions to some of the world's largest electronics and semiconductor companies. Responsibilities: Support Application Engineers (AEs) and customers with the integration, configuration, and debugging of interface solutions on the proFPGA CS prototyping platform. Enable and troubleshoot PCIe, Ethernet, flash, and other extension boards connected to Xilinx VP1902 FPGAs. Configure and debug Xilinx IP to ensure seamless integration with extension boards. Drive the adoption of prototyping technologies by providing hands-on technical expertise and working directly with customers to deliver successful outcomes. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional technical support and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction. Partner with the sales team to support business growth and identify new opportunities. Collaborate with R&D teams by providing customer feedback and contributing ideas for product enhancements. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and work cross-functionally to resolve challenges efficiently. Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions on new features and product updates. Communicate customer requirements and market feedback to Product Marketing to influence future product direction. Build peer-level technical relationships with customer engineering teams. Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions across multiple software products and hardware platforms. Author technical papers and deliver presentations to customer leadership and at industry conferences. Independently manage complex projects with minimal supervision, exercising sound technical judgment and decision-making. Required experience/skills Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Proven experience designing, implementing, and testing FPGA-based designs. Hands-on experience with the Xilinx Vivado toolset for IP creation, integration, and design optimization. Experience using the Xilinx Integrated Logic Analyzer (ILA) for debugging. Practical experience working with hardware in a laboratory environment. Knowledge of PCIe and/or Ethernet protocols. Preferably has experience using commercial FPGA prototyping platforms, preferably Siemens proFPGA or proFPGA CS. Nice to have experience with FPGA embedded processors and PetaLinux. Nice to have previous customer-facing experience, such as an Application Engineer supporting emulation or FPGA prototyping solutions. Nice to have experience creating and delivering technical presentations to engineering audiences. Why Us?
