Purpose of the job



To manage and maintain Oracle database, exadata and ms sql systems.



Duties and responsibilities



  1. Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.
  2. Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
  3. Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
  4. Setting up database user accounts.
  5. Training users on how to access the information in the database.
  6. Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
  7. Creating autonomous database backups.
  8. Regularly updating the database security protocols.

Job specification







Education







  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science from a recognized university.




Experience.



  1. At least 5 years' experience in Oracle Database administration with setup, design, implementation, and configuration.
  2. Experience in Oracle database administration, database maintenance and troubleshooting.
  3. Experience in Oracle high availability solution - RAC, Grid and ASM administration.
  4. Experience in Oracle Data Guard.
  5. Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  6. Experience in managing Oracle Backup and Recovery Administration.
  7. Experience in managing Oracle Backup and Recovery using the RMAN with all needed policies.
  8. Must have good experience in Oracle Exadata and ZDLRA
  9. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  10. Very Good knowledge in Linux/Windows operating systems.
