The Media Manager is responsible for MEA Media guidelines for select Haleon brands. They work closely with OU & LOC Brand Managers to brief, develop and communicate media guidelines that help markets grow their business. These strategies should be rooted in brand and business objectives, and consumer insights that propel a creative approach to media activation. Media Plans should reflect the Global Media strategy and the OU priorities for the select brands.



Whilst a large part of their role is to support the media planning function, they are specifically tasked with bringing more creativity into the media planning process, developing ideas to elevate create to stand out executions  



This role reports to the Media & Marketing Service Director for MEA. 



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the development and execution of full-funnel media strategies aligned with brand and business objectives
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign implementation across digital and offline channels, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Evaluate and optimize media plans through continuous performance tracking, data analysis, and post-campaign assessments
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agencies, and partners to ensure seamless integration of media activities
  • Drive digital excellence across platforms including paid social, programmatic, search, e-commerce media, and emerging channels
  • Translate business goals into actionable media frameworks and KPIs
  • Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI and efficiency
  • Provide clear reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Work closely with media channel partners and agencies to generate innovative and show stopping media solutions 
  • Recommends Test & Learn approach within each Global Media guideline, focusing on channel diversity and quality improvements
  • Works closely with Media Agency teams to incorporate learnings from tests and performance results  
  • Ensure cohesive collaboration across brand, digital, analytics, procurement, and market teams.
  • Skilled in data analysis, adept at translating insights into strategic actions.
  • Supports the MMS Director in organizing quarterly media reviews, including market spends, adherence to strategy, channel mix, tactical optimizations, test & learn.   

Basic Qualifications



  • 8-10 years of experience in media planning and buying, preferably within CPG or FMCG sectors
  • Media Agency Experience is a must, whilst CPG Industry experience and Digital Channel Certifications are preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multi-market or regional campaigns (MEA or similar regions)
  • Strong expertise in digital media channels and full-funnel marketing
  • Experience of working in a strategy or planning department, either client or agency side 
  • Strong presentation skills, excellent at creating attractive decks and talking through ideas 
  • Demonstrable experience communicating with various levels of seniority, particularly with agency partners 
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee both strategy and hands-on implementation
  • Experience with campaign measurement, attribution models, and media effectiveness frameworks
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Experience in D-commerce and retail media is a plus
  • Familiarity with key tools and platforms (e.g., Google Marketing Platform, Meta, programmatic DSPs, retail media networks)
