Role Objectives
The Material Planner is responsible for overseeing raw material and packaging supply planning, ensuring cost-effective ordering and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Collaborate with production planners to meet material requirements, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in inventory optimization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan raw material and corresponding packaging supply
Ensure that raw materials are ordered in the most cost-effective way and that Raw Material stocks are kept at the targeted service & inventory levels
Monitor supplier performance for key raw materials and pack
Create a monthly MRP plan based on production needs and available inventories
Expedite and postpone raw and package materials to support and maintain a flexible production schedule while communicating with business units and support departments
Monitor raw and package inventory to achieve continuous improvement in inventory optimization
Work closely with the production planners to get the material requirements and issue the planned orders
Escalate to Procurement any material issue that may become a potential risk
Secure needed materials for any new trials or new initiatives
Monitor the R&PM planning KPIs and update ending stock report.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
2 - 3 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
