Role Objectives


The Material Planner is responsible for overseeing raw material and packaging supply planning, ensuring cost-effective ordering and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Collaborate with production planners to meet material requirements, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in inventory optimization.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Plan raw material and corresponding packaging supply


  • Ensure that raw materials are ordered in the most cost-effective way and that Raw Material stocks are kept at the targeted service & inventory levels


  • Monitor supplier performance for key raw materials and pack


  • Create a monthly MRP plan based on production needs and available inventories


  • Expedite and postpone raw and package materials to support and maintain a flexible production schedule while communicating with business units and support departments


  • Monitor raw and package inventory to achieve continuous improvement in inventory optimization


  • Work closely with the production planners to get the material requirements and issue the planned orders


  • Escalate to Procurement any material issue that may become a potential risk


  • Secure needed materials for any new trials or new initiatives


  • Monitor the R&PM planning KPIs and update ending stock report.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS


  • 2 - 3 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.


  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
