Facility Manager

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all services that support the functioning of businesses or other stakeholders. This includes planning, assigning, and managing maintenance and operations personnel to ensure that school buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment meet health, safety, and security policies. 

• Regular inspections of school buildings and grounds are conducted to maintain safety and sanitation standards, including pest control.
• Overseeing the school alarm system, arranges for repairs with vendors and district maintenance personnel, and ensures that all work meets district standards.
• Managing grounds-keeping personnel, ordering custodial supplies, and directing the delivery and warehousing of these supplies are also key responsibilities.
• Selecting, training, and evaluating custodial, grounds, and maintenance personnel, as well as maintaining records, preparing reports, and processing payroll forms. 
• Onboarding foreign staff, planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs, developing and overseeing the custodial and maintenance budget, and coordinating the use of school facilities.
• Ensuring that basic facilities like water and heating are well-maintained, managing budgets, allocating space, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards are also crucial.
• Advising on energy efficiency, oversees projects and refurbishments, and drafts reports with written recommendations.

Operating a computerized energy management system, performing skilled maintenance and repair work, and supervising multi-disciplinary teams.
