Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures, using advanced sterilization techniques and equipment to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
2. Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies efficiently, demonstrating a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and the necessary tools required for each operation.
3. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team, utilizing critical thinking skills to ensure immediate action is taken for patient safety.
4. Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring all team members are informed and aligned on patient needs and surgical goals.
5. Participate in pre-operative and post-operative assessments, providing valuable insights that contribute to comprehensive patient care and recovery strategies.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, adhering to hospital protocols and standards for documentation and reporting.
7. Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care, fostering trust and understanding to promote a supportive recovery environment.
8. Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and nursing practices through continuous education and training, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and excellence in patient care.
