Description
As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, sales invoicing, and compliance with IFRS. Your main responsibilities will include:
Coordinating monthly and year-end closings in line with the group timetablePreparing and accounting for Crude Oil, Gas, and NGL sales invoicesCalculating monthly crude prices and collaborating with the Marketing & Trading team on spot salesManaging ad-hoc and tariff-based sales invoicingPerforming credit control activities and preparing aged receivables reportsEnsuring accurate VAT treatment and liaising with the Tax teamReconciling revenue-related general ledger accounts and hydrocarbon inventory positionsUploading production data into SUN and supporting DD&A calculationsPartnering with the Hydrocarbon Accounting team and Asset Managers for accurate reportingSupporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with IFRS 15
Identifying opportunities for automation and process enhancement
Profile
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessionally qualified (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a revenue accounting or similar roleSolid understanding of IFRS, especially IFRS 15Strong Excel skills and prior experience using accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or SUNPrevious exposure to the oil & gas, energy, power, or related sectors preferredExperience working in or with the GCC region is essential
