They are seeking a proactive Logistics Accountant to join their finance team in Bahrain. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate cost recording, budgeting, and forecasting for logistics operations within a dynamic environment.

Description
Accurately record and allocate monthly logistics costs (aviation, marine, fuel, shorebase)Maintain and update Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) cost allocations using existing modelsLiaise with Marine Coordinators to validate data integrityPrepare monthly accruals for fuel stocks/offloads and coordinate with Business Partners and JV AccountantsReconcile logistics cost pools and compile monthly cost reportsPrepare forecasts and budgets for logistics functions, including variance analysisSubmit ad hoc logistics cost reports to managementAct as the finance point of contact for the Logistics Manager, participating in regular coordination meetingsProcess monthly journals including POB-based allocations and prepayment releasesHandle general and administrative (G&A) accounting, including contractor invoice reviews, expense claims, and accrualsSupport audit requests (internal, external, JV, G&A assurance)Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice/payment issuesAssist with special business requests and finance projects
Profile
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldProfessional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is mandatoryAround 3+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a similar logistics or cost accounting functionStrong Excel skills and experience extracting data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, SUN preferred)Prior experience in oil & gas, energy, power, or logistics is highly preferredStrong attention to detail, with problem-solving and analytical thinkingExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlinesCandidates must have prior GCC experience, with preference for those already based in the region
