Job description

  • Wood is currently looking for a Senior Document Controller to join our team. Manages and supports others engaged in document control activities whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant reporting requirements. Liaises with multi-discipline Engineering teams and contributes to the development of document control processes to allow the project to improve quality and efficiencies

  • Provide management support for document control lead in document control activities;
  • Liaise with engineering team to ensure that document control processes are being followed and that the document review and comment process is effective;
  • Ensure all documentation meets company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.;

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project specific procedures and work instructions are in place and are being correctly followed;
  • Contribute to the development of new and revised procedures and work instructions as necessary;
  • Performing regular checks to ensure the accuracy of data and work instructions are being followed;
  • Issue appropriate reports to the project team as and when required;
  • Receipt, registration and issue of deliverables in accordance with document control procedures;
  • Track and manage document revisions to ensure only the latest approved versions are in circulation
  • Ensure good written and oral communication between disciplines
  • Maintain Discipline Competency via Competency Assessment Form and Knowledge Tables;
  • Demonstrate HSE awareness by actively participating in safety observations and initiatives;

Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, accustomed to being in positions of responsibility and accountability with good planning skills;
  • Demonstrably practice Company Core Values;
  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation;
  • Collaborative way of working;
  • Ability to prioritise key tasks and solve problems for the team;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills; 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and directly supervise other document controllers;
  • Experience managing or administrating document control systems;
  • Experience in document control principles and can work off own initiative;
  • Manage Technical Documents;
  • Manage Document Control Processes;
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of team working skills;
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn;
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude;
