JOB TITLE: Enterprise Applications Development Specialist 


REPORT TO: Enterprise Applications Development Team Leader


JOB PURPOSE:


The Enterprise & Digital Systems Specialistis responsible for collaborating with Business Units, Solutions, and Enterprise teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions. This includes managing the design, deployment, and configuration of enterprise and digital systems in alignment with business demands, technology strategies, architecture blueprints, and roadmaps. The role also involves ensuring the development and maintenance of technical design documentation and overseeing capacity upgrades in accordance with service capacity management guidelines and current system status.


KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  1. JOB PURPOSE:


    The Enterprise Application Development specialist is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design,


    development, and configuration of enterprise applications, ensuring they align with business


    requirements and the organization’s technology strategy. This includes translating business demands into


    technical solutions while adhering to architecture blueprints and roadmaps. The role involves leading a


    team of developers to ensure the successful execution of application development projects, from initial


    concept to implementation, while maintaining a focus on performance, scalability, and security. 


    KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:


    1. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications with scalable, modular


    architecture using microservices, containerization (Docker), and cloud-native technologies


    (Kubernetes).


    2. Lead the design, development, and deployment of software projects, ensuring adherence to Agile and


    DevOps principles, and continuous integration and delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and


    CircleCI.


    3. Forecast and plan business requirements, resource allocation, and sprint planning using Agile


    methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), ensuring smooth project flow.


    4. Collaborate in creating detailed project plans, estimating costs, defining deliverables, and managing


    timelines with project management tools like Jira and Trello.


    5. Manage enterprise application integration with external systems through development of RESTful


    APIs and SOAP services, ensuring seamless data exchange using tools like Postman and Swagger.


    6. Ensure application architecture follows best practices for performance, security, and scalability, using


    event-driven design (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and secure authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT).


    7. Oversee version control and repository management using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket,


    maintaining an efficient branching strategy (GitFlow).


    8. Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins,


    GitLab CI, and CircleCI for reliable software delivery.


    9. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, including API documentation


    (Swagger/OpenAPI) and architecture diagrams using UML and tools like Lucidchart.


    10. Provide third-level support for troubleshooting production issues, using profiling and debugging tools


    like Chrome DevTools, Postman, Xdebug, and New Relic.


    11. Oversee unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and security testing using industry


    standard tools like Jest, JUnit, Selenium, and LoadRunner.


    12. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring applications meet business requirements and


    functional expectations using test management tools like TestRail and Jira.
    13. Drive improvements in continuous integration and delivery workflows, optimizing automation and


    ensuring quality at each stage of the software lifecycle.


    14. Optimize application performance and scalability with profiling tools like New Relic, Prometheus, and


    Grafana, ensuring high availability under heavy load.


    15. Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure seamless integration of frontend (React,


    Angular, Vue.js) and backend systems (Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, .NET Core).


    16. Manage frontend development, utilizing modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3,


    JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular) and frameworks like Bootstrap and Material UI.


    17. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for efficient communication between


    frontend and backend components.


    18. Lead and mentor the development team, promoting coding best practices (SOLID principles, DRY,


    KISS) and fostering knowledge sharing through code reviews and pair programming.


    19. Ensure adherence to security best practices in software development, conducting code audits and


    integrating security testing tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx) into the CI/CD pipeline.


    20. Evaluate and optimize existing applications, performing refactoring and re-architecting to improve


    maintainability, reduce technical debt, and enhance code quality.

What We Need From You

PERSON SPECIFICATION       


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE


  1. 1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related discipline.


    2. Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.


    3. Experience on Object-Oriented Languages like Java Python & C++ languages. 


    4. Experience on web development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.


    5. Experience on Enterprise Application Development Platforms Skills (e.g., Odoo, SharePoint) 


    6. Experience on Mobile app development is an advantage. 


    7. Knowledge and experience of RDBMS.


    8. Knowledge and experience on Linux and Windows OS.


    9. Knowledge in telecommunication domain.


    10. Vendor Specific Certifications is a Plus


    11. TMForum certification is a Plus.


    12. BPEL knowledge.
