Job Summary:

The Technical Design Manager (Project Office) is responsible for leading all design coordination and technical interface activities for the project. This role ensures that all design documents, drawings, and technical submittals meet project specifications, are constructible, and are aligned with construction sequencing. The position involves close coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments, and plays a critical role in resolving design conflicts and supporting the project execution team with accurate and timely design information.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction design and technical coordination.
  • At least 5 years in a technical/coordination leadership role on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, shop drawings, and submittal procedures.
  • Familiarity with Saudi local authority requirements and construction approval processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design coordination across all disciplines, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Review and approve design deliverables, shop drawings, and subcontractor submittals.
  • Identify design conflicts and initiate resolutions in collaboration with consultants and site engineers.
  • Manage the design submittal log, drawing register, and technical documentation flow.
  • Coordinate with procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Support the preparation of as-built drawings, redlines, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and permit requirements.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Provide technical guidance to site engineers and resolve design-related queries.
  • Report design progress, issues, and risks to Project Management on a regular basis.
