Job Purpose
This role is responsible for providing effective leadership and supervision to a team of operators, ensuring that all production activities are carried out efficiently and in alignment with organizational goals.
This role is responsible for executing and overseeing daily operations of operators, provide guidance, and ensure that all team members are working effectively and cohesively, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures, safety protocols, and production targets.
This role supports the optimization of resources, enhances team performance, and fosters continuous improvement to meet organization’s goals.
Job Role
Key Functional Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate the workflow of the production lines and team members, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. Plan and schedule tasks, manage shift transitions, and optimize the delivery process to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Support with assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their individual skills, abilities, expertise, and the specific requirements of the production needs.
Conduct daily communication meetings with the entire team acting as a liaison between operators and upper management, ensure clear communication of goals and expectations, and collaborate with other teams to achieve production targets.
Monitor performance of team members and the activities within your lead scope to ensure adherence to quality standards, efficiency objectives, and production timelines, providing constructive feedback for improvements as necessary.
Help with assigning manpower, materials, and equipment resources judiciously to effectively achieve production objectives and ensure the efficient utilization of resources, budget and production KPIs.
Support in troubleshooting technical or operational equipment malfunctions that may occur during production mode.
Respond promptly and efficiently to unforeseen circumstances, disruptions, or urgent events that may arise during the shift, ensuring minimal impact on production and the safety of operators.
Provide training and development opportunities, mentor operators, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Support and implement manufacturing operation policies, guidelines, systems, processes, standards, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
Ensure the reports related to the production are prepared in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to departmental standards. Provide regular reports on shift performance to Group Leader.
Job Requirements
Education Bachelor’s or technical diploma degree in engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial), Manufacturing Technology, or a relevant field.
Experience 3 years Minimum in relevant field or position.
