In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer: SDET, you will design and develop test automation solutions and frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automation solutions meet business needs and are aligned with industry standards. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Design Automation Solutions: Design and develop test automation solutions and frameworks across multiple layers of the application architecture, including UI, API, Services, and Data, to ensure high-quality software delivery. * Develop Test Scenarios: Understand functional requirements, design optimized test scenarios, identify test cases, and code them to be integrated with application code and DevOps pipeline for automated execution and reporting. * Troubleshoot Automation Issues: Troubleshoot and debug automation issues, and optimize automation solutions for performance and scalability to ensure reliable and efficient testing. * Maintain Test Environments: Develop and maintain test data and test environments to support automated testing, ensuring accurate and reliable test results. * Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results and provide insights to stakeholders to improve software quality and reduce defects, driving business value through data-driven decision-making.

* Test Automation Development: Exposure to designing and developing test automation solutions and frameworks across multiple layers of application architecture, including UI, API, Services, and Data. * Multi-Technology Automation: Experience working with automation testing across various technologies, such as Mobile, Devices, Browsers, Client-server, Micro-Services, and Containers. * Test Scenario Optimization: Exposure to understanding functional requirements, designing optimized test scenarios, identifying test cases, and coding them for automated execution and reporting. * Automation Troubleshooting: Experience working with troubleshooting and debugging automation issues, and optimizing automation solutions for performance and scalability. * Test Environment Maintenance: Exposure to developing and maintaining test data and test environments to support automated testing.

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Multi-Layered Architecture Knowledge: Exposure to designing and developing test automation solutions and frameworks across multiple layers of application architecture, including UI, API, Services, and Data, to deliver high-quality software. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure automation solutions meet business needs and are aligned with industry standards, driving business value through collaboration. * Industry Standards Alignment: Exposure to aligning automation solutions with industry standards, ensuring compliance and best practices in test automation development.
