General Summary:

Qualcomm IT is seeking an experienced full-stack developer with experience in web application space (4+ years). We are looking for someone who can design, develop and support custom IP analysis applications for one of the world’s largest patent portfolios. Should be able to builds custom applications using latest web technologies to deliver the data in a faster and more efficient manner to meet the dynamic needs of our legal partners.Should be comfortable to work in an extremely agile environment.
Candidate should have:
• 4 to 7 years of full stack development experience in Java web applications, with at least 2 year experience in UI development using web technologies.
• Strong experience on server-side programming including Java 8+,Python, Spring Boot and Spring Data/Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience on Angular, HTML5, CSS3 (at least 1 year of experience on Angular).
• Good knowledge on database and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Containerization, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Pipelines), exposure to AWS.
• Working knowledge of the scrum framework and Agile methodology.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Product development and unit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand & analyze functional requirements and translate into well-engineered code that comply with accepted industry standards.
Ownership of assigned user stories with minimal supervision.
Guide the junior team on development standards, good design practices etc. & ensure compliance as needed (frequent code reviews, spot checks etc).
Identify opportunities for process improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Manage priorities and work in a fast pace environment.
Should effectively communicate with business partners, analysts, project manager & team members on functional & technical aspects as needed

• 4 to 7 years of full stack development experience in Java Web Applications, with at least 2 year experience in UI development using web technologies.

– Experience on AWS infrastructure and related programming skills (EC2, IAM, API Gateway, ECS, S3, Lambda, Cloud Formation)
– Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), design, documentation, test case preparation and review of tests.
– Experience with unit testing tools and frameworks such as Karma, Jest, Junit
– A quick learner with the ability to handle development tasks with minimum or no supervision.
– Ability to work and contribute beyond defined responsibilities. – Ability to work and contribute beyond defined responsibilities.
– Experience with working on small to medium sized development teams from project definition through implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
OR
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
